I shed a few tears as I read over the many profiles. So many have passed. Agatha, Betsy, Dobie, Tammy (Twiddlebug), Rocky, Larry and Reggie(Toad).
Rescuing geriatric and special needs dogs is what we do. It is our passion. It's amazing and heartwreching all at the same time. There is nothing more satisfying than to save an 'old' dog from the inhumanities of the world. To watch them flourish and find comfort in their last years or even months. They have taken over almost every-room in the house...and I wouldn't have it any other way. They all have their issues, both medical and emotional, but we are humored everyday at their quirky personalities and antics. These dogs are not trash...they are treasures. They ask for nothing more than good food and a little TLC.
I am mortified and confused on a daily basis regarding the animal abuse and neglect that takes place in our"civilized" country.
I am going to try to update and add in all the dogs we have cared for and continue to care for. It will not be in order and I know I
won't remember the dates....but I will never forget the dogs!
