Marty

Marty was part of a large puppy mill confiscation. There were over 130 dogs kept in crates on a porch with only tarps for shade. Marty did not not have a single tooth in his head, but he was one of the few dogs who did not have heart worm. He was an old gentleman who was used for breeding. He was very frightened to be around people but tolerated being held for short periods. We only had him one night before he found his forever home with a spunky older women who had plenty of time to spend with Marty. He finally has a home where he will be loved and pampered for the first time in his life.

I just received a call from Marty's new mom Donna. She reports he is doing really well. He has put on some weight and has learned to sniff and walk on a leash; he is actually starting to run and play with his new siblings. He is also learning to trust his new mom and gave her a kiss for the first time yesterday. She renamed him Pokey as he was very shy and slow moving when she first brought him home but he is definitely stepping up the pace. Let's hear it for another success story.
